Introducing foundational concepts and the CPA method. Students build their mathematical confidence through hands-on exploration and visual representation.
Term 3: 15 Apr — 26 May
Mastering fluency and reasoning. Students represent mathematical ideas through diagrams and lists, developing the critical thinking skills needed for primary 3.
Term 2: 01 Mar — 14 Apr
Deepening understanding of number bonds and heuristics. Students apply their knowledge to solve complex problems using bar models and number lines.
Term 4: 27 May — 15 Jun
Review and consolidation. Students prepare for the end-of-year assessment, focusing on fluency and the application of heuristics to real-world scenarios.
